05 March 2026 - v0.56 Critical Fix

Critical Fix:

- After much hard work (4-5 hours a day on top of our usual full day occupations), 14 new builds, deployments, testing, failure, rebuild, starting over, and a one hour desk flip and tantrum, we believe we have finally solved the issue of the broken refinancing milestone screen. We were wrong. It was not entirely a google runtime error although this did make it painfully time consuming to troubleshoot. It was a collection of small bugs, each hiding each other from diagnostic logs.
Either way, it appears to be working well in the live builds now available on google play.
After this one, we're taking a small sanity break before moving onto the next feature.

Thanks again for your patience and support.

1 March 2026 - v0.55.1 Update

Ongoing Bug: - Refinance Calculation Page

- Despite efforts, the failure to render the refinance timeline screen has been an incredibly elusive problem. With 12 build in existence prior to the development of the refinance timeline screen and since release, we have deployed another 12 builds in the last 48 hours in an attempt to find the source of the problem. To reiterate that. The entire app was produced in 12 builds. We have doubled that build number for this one page alone!

We believe at this point that the issue is no longer on our side but rather the way Google Play packages and shrinks the build for release. The reason we think this is because each build has worked without issue in testing and when deploying outside of Google Play. The only broken builds appear on the other side of uploading to Google Play. For this reason, we had initially believed we had found a successful solution leading to the 25/2 release, because all of our testing builds has worked without issue.

After much painstaking deliberation we feel we may have a new solution. Instead of relying on robust dart code to display this page, we are breaking it into components so that it is not as intensive for Google Play to package. This unfortunately will take time so we apologise for this feature being known to be broken for the time being. We are working hard to rebuild this page from scratch before attempting the next deployment. This is certainly the long way around as now we need to build multiple smaller systems and link them to each other rather than have our one widget do it all internally. A very 'FML' moment of realisation after we conceded that nothing else is likely to work, we can assure you.

Thank you for your support and your patience.

25 February 2026 - v0.55.1 Critical Fix

Critical Fix:

- Fixed a compillation error associated with refinance display that was only apparent on phones causing users to have a blank screen when attempteing to access this screen. Unfortunately this slipped through as it compiled approporately on desktop tasting.

- Took the opportunity to clean up some button art.

24 February 2026 - v0.55

Added:

- We have added a refinancing milestone screen so users will be able to establish an approximate time frame of when they might be able to undertake refinancing options like loan consolidation, withdrawal of investment and or withdrawing equity for further investment.

Fixed:

- Resolved a cheeky bug where manual build prices were not being passed to the calculation causing users to default to an autocalculation and recieve a warning message that their input was not valid.

Known Bugs:

- It is possible to be too quick on the final input screen (screen 6) of the calculator when changing a value and tapping 'calculate'. This may mean that the calculation runs before the users' input has had time to update and lock in. We've explored a few ways to try to correct this but all have created more troubles than it is worth.
For the time being, given it is not product breaking and is easy to remedy by waiting for the items to update (1-2 seconds) there is no reason to overengineer a solution at this stage. We've added a warning to the 'Getting Started' page.

19 February 2026 - v0.54.1

Critical Fix:

- Fixed an error associated with the warnings box causing the results screen to crash

stress-portrait_edited.png

17 February 2026 - v0.54

Added:

- Completed work on lending timeline and stress testing. This will now give a snapshot of your payments and rate stress risks over the term of the loan. This is accessible from the Total Payments button at the bottom of the results screen.

- Back end calculations now exist to divide lending terms into up to 5 milestones including expiry of LMI claiming periods, expiry of interest only periods and expiry of one of the loans (in a 2 loan structure)

Fixed:

- Testing of the newly added timeline and stress testing features demonstrated some back end issues calculating mixed term loans as well as failing to drop LMI tax deductions after expiry of the LMI period. These issues have now been corrected

- Added some error throwing for some invalid lending structures.

Known Bugs:

- None known currently. *** We believe we've caught and fixed noted errors. Given the current back end modifications, please let us know immediately if you see calculation errors:
   '0's where there shouldn't be,

    null reference errors

    other obvious issues.

Please ensure you're using the most up to date version on Google Play Store and ensure this does not correct errors before getting in contact.

Planned - short term: (active development)

- Address API access to search real address listings

- Early calculation logic to assist users estimate times to refinance for major events (abolish topup loan, withdraw deposit, withdraw total initial expendature, withdraw equity to obtain an equivalent next property

Planned - moderate term: (staged development)

- Logic to assist users troubleshoot solutions to improve cashflow potential of an assessed property

- Add logic to create an amortisation schedule, responsive to changes such as interest only periods and such, to match our above timeline logic

Planned - asynchronous: (when we get around to it)

- Print report to PDF

- Create a simple calculation workflow separate from current.

Research and Development:

- Continued review of initial cost effective real estate APIs for early users (Aim for an API that is not region/country blocked)

- Create a simple calculation workflow separate from current which can be backwards compatible with later parsing logic intentions.

09 February 2026 - v0.53.2 (0.53 release 9)

Important Note: (Please update to latest version on Google Play Store)

- Back end work to make functional loan change timelines revealed minor calculation errors as they related to LMI and interest. These have been fixed in the back end. However, in order to correct these errors we've had to separate some functions. As a result, the front end user interface now has some results querying new or different variables.
Simply put, this has broken the interface for users not using the most up to date version (0.53 - Release 9).

- We're continuing to scaffold out the back end to section loans into transition periods, as above, this has caused disruption and refactoring of existing code which will directly affect your calculations and experience unless updated to the most recent version. We've put in a lot of work and believe we are at a place where the refactor is sound and will begin translating the outputs into the front end experience so users will be able to visualise their loan timelines, milestones, and stress scenarios.

Fixed:

- Back end correctly ignores user input for LMI term now (It is obsolete). If amortised, LMI will be added to principle for the life of the loan or less than 5 years if the loan term is less than 5 years. If LMI paid up front then our back end will assume 5 years of deductibles (ATO compliant period as LMI can't be claimed in a shorter period unless the loan is discharged)
- LMI term removed as an input variable (There is almost no circumstance where this will be needed and was needlessly complicating stress testing calculations)

- Corrected Lenders Mortgage Insurance tool tip. Now correctly describes LMI calculations and ATO compliance.

Known Bugs:

- None known currently. *** We believe we've caught and fixed noted errors. Given the current back end modifications, please let us know immediately if you see calculation errors:

Progress:

- Adding loan timeline with stress testing for full point rate rises (This will allow users to have a day 1 snapshot of major event changes over 4 forseeable time periods (LMI claim expiration, interest only periods expiring, if two loans are used but one expires) We will also attempt to demonstrate rent requirements to keep cashflow positive for these events.

27 January 2026 - v0.53

Added:

- Property type for future parsing/matching

- Those who reload an old portfolio item where a property type wasn't selected will automatically select 'house.' This can be changed by loading your old portfolio item, changing it and then resaving to portfolio

Fixed:

- Interest only periods correctly referenced (from 'interest free' incorrectly titled)

Known Bugs:

- Lenders Mortgage Insurance tool tip incorrectly describes LMI calculations

Progress:

- To remove user input for LMI term (There is almost no circumstance where this will be needed and was needlessly complicating stress testing calculations)

- To remove back end reference to LMI period being user enterable (obselete)
