Privacy Policy

B&E Media (“we”, “us”) builds software products. We collect as little personal information as each product needs to work, we say exactly what that is, and we do not sell it.
Every product that handles personal information has its own policy below, with a data summary showing what is kept, where and for how long. This page covers this website and applies to anything a product policy does not cover.
Product privacy and data policies
- Property Assistant — your account and saved property analyses, stored in Sydney and deletable at any time.
- ReccoBill — a subscription tracker that reads your statements on your phone and uploads nothing.
A product that is not listed here does not collect personal information through B&E Media. It will have its own policy here before it does.
This website
No tracking. bandemedia.com uses no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies and no third-party scripts. Its fonts and images are served from our own site.

Newsletter
If you enter your email in a “Keep me posted” form, we store it so we can send you news about B&E Media and its products. We will not use it for anything else, share it, or add you to anyone else’s list, and every newsletter will include a way to unsubscribe. To be removed at any time, use the account deletionpage (choose “Newsletter / Subscription”) or email us.
Account and data deletion requests
The account deletionpage lets you ask us to delete your data from a product even if you can no longer sign in. We email a confirmation link to the address you give, so nobody can delete someone else’s data by typing their email. When you confirm, the request is sent to a person at B&E Media, who carries it out. The page gives the same response whether or not we hold any data for that address.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers, who handle data only to provide their service to us:
- Google(Firebase, Google Cloud) — website hosting in Singapore, databases in Sydney, and the sign-in and storage behind some products, as each product policy says.
- Resend— delivers our confirmation emails, from servers in Japan.
- Titan— our business email.
- Google Play— distributes our Android apps and handles any purchases in them under Google’s own privacy policy.
Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, in the locations named above. We choose providers that protect data to a standard comparable to Australian privacy law.
Security
Everything is sent over encrypted connections. Our website databases can only be read by our own servers, not directly from a browser. No system is perfectly secure, and several of our products are in testing, so we keep what we store to the minimum each product needs.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us or using the account deletion page. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Children
Our products and this website are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
When this policy or a product policy changes, the date at the top of that page changes with it. If a product starts collecting something new, its policy is updated before that version is released.
